So this morning I was driving down the M25. It was pouring down with rain, I was tired, bored, with only Google map’s occasional voice directions for company. My son was with me but he was fast asleep and snoring his head off.
After a few minutes of driving, I spotted in front of me the car in the picture above. This isn’t the actual picture (I’m sure you wouldn’t approve of me taken a photo while driving on the motorway) but it is the actual car.
At first, I thought to myself, “Cool! A classic car!”. Then as I got closer, I saw the number plate and recognised it. A massive smile grew on my face and a huge sense of excitement overwhelmed me. I quickly woke up my son and showed him the car. Then I said proudly, “That car belongs to a client! I designed and host their website!”. My son was extremely impressed and I was very proud.
Whether you’re a small business owner, sole trader, solopreneur, startup, or side-hustler, building a business is long and difficult journey (just like driving to Enfield along the M25 in the pouring rain), so it’s important to celebrate every single win, no matter how small, even if it’s just spotting a classic car and showing off to your 12 year old son that you know the owner. By the way, the client in question is SCN Occasion Cars. Please feel free to stop by their website. And if you’re ever in the need of a classic, luxury, car for a wedding or any other special occasion, give them a call (if you tell them I sent you, they might send me cupcakes). Comment and Share |
